Destiny tuning is a term used by Heather
Matthews to identify what she thinks is lacking in the explanation of the Law
of Attraction. According to a review by the owner of www.subliminalmindprogram.com Matthews is the first one to use this term. This
reviewer also says that she never quite got what this destiny tuning was which,
according to Matthews, if you understand and put into practice would change
instantaneously and drastically your life for the better.
There is a YouTube presentation entitled
“Destiny Tuning”. A viewer would expect that in this presentation a clear
description or explanation of destiny tuning would be given. Unfortunately he
or she would only learn something about it, namely that it is vital to
understand this and incorporate it into one's daily routine, but he or she
would be left hanging as to the real meaning and explanation of this. As the
reviewer said, she bought the whole program of Matthews, read the whole thing,
put into practice all the prescriptions given, but at the end she did not quite
know what destiny tuning was.
Here is my explanation of destiny tuning.
What Matthews said about it is true, from what I have experienced. But she left
viewers and readers hanging as to what this is. And some of these may get the
impression that what Matthews was really interested in was to sell her program
for $47. For sure the knowledge you get about destiny tuning is worth more than
$47 because it will surely change your life for the better. But one wonders why
Matthews sells this knowledge for $47 when from her own assertion she is
already financially independent. Why does she not just give it away for free?
My explanation will necessarily be theistic
because I am a theist with no apologies for being one.
Destiny tuning is really what the words
mean, tuning in with one's destiny. “Destiny” is defined by a Webster's
dictionary as “the seemingly inevitable succession of events”. “Tuning”
according to the same dictionary is 'adapting to some condition, mood, etc.' So
destiny tuning is basically adapting to the events in one's life that are
seemingly inevitable.
The two most inevitable events in our life
are our coming into this world and our departing from it. And it is most important
that we tune in with these events, that is, we adapt our life to harmonize with
these two events.
If we say we come into this world, we imply
that we came from somewhere. Biologically we came from our parents. But
spiritually we came from the Spirit, the Creator. Our parents were only
instruments of this Creator who created us in this world. Again biologically we
inherit certain characteristics of our parents, their skin color, their natural
intelligence, their customs and even their habits. And without our even knowing
we tune in with these characteristics of our parents if we are to survive in
this world.
Spiritually also we inherit the
characteristics of the Spirit who created us. I will only point out two
characteristics which have not been given due emphasis in our quest for success
in life. These two are the Spirit's infinity and creativity. If this Spirit is
infinite and creative, by our being generated from him we are also infinite and
creative. And this is what most of us forget.
We forget that we are also infinite like
the Spirit because all around us we see finiteness. In fact we are too familiar
with the phrases “finite man”, “finite beings”. It was the Greek philosophers
who drilled this into our brain. Because of this conditioning we have imbibed,
we see a finite supply of food, of natural resources, of wealth. The result is
poverty and the science of economics on how to solve this poverty.
We also forget that we are creative. So we
admire inventors and geniuses who give us new things and new ideas, forgetting
that we ourselves by birth and by right are also inventors and geniuses. We
admire entrepreneurs who create businesses, forgetting that we are by nature
entrepreneurs.
Now you know what destiny tuning is all
about in a general manner. It is adapting ourselves to our condition of being
infinite and creative. How this is done in a practical and effective way is the
subject of succeeding posts.
Now you know what destiny tuning basically
is, without giving me a cent for giving you this knowledge. Later I will write
how you can practice it in your life and your life will just have to change for
the better, even financially.
